Turning danger into safety
Turning danger into safety
In 2025, a fire broke out on the first floor of Block P at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and dense smoke came out from the plant room. I immediately notified colleagues to evacuate the physical therapy patients. While assisting during the evacuation, I noticed an old man was moving very slowly. In order to prevent him from being pushed over by the evacuees, I carried him on my back to a safe location. Fortunately, no one was injured or unwell during the incident.
Put yourself in others' shoes; make work more humane. Let work be more than just a process; it requires genuine care and concern for people.
