Inheriting the past, inspiring the future

The well-known ophthalmic surgeon Professor Michael O'Keefe has been a profound source of inspiration to me. I still vividly recall my time as Senior House Officer (Resident Trainee), watching him reviewed academic papers during non-surgical intervals. His dedication left a lasting impression on me and motivated me to follow in his footsteps. Having personally guided me through my first indexed publication, he inspired me to remain academically active, and to mentor my junior colleagues with the same spirit.
